Jesus Predicts 2021 (Matthew 10)

  • A WARNING TO TRUE CHRISTIANS WHO ARE NOW TARGETS OF THE ANTI-CHRISTIAN GOVERNMENT AND THE FALSE CHRISTIANS WHO WILL BETRAY THEM:
“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake…” (Matt. 10:16-18)
  • JESUS ASSURES HIS TRUE FOLLOWERS OF WHAT TO SAY:
“But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.” (v. 19-20)
  • THE BETRAYAL THAT WILL COME FROM YOUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS AND CLOSE FRIENDS:
“Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.” (v. 21)
  • A WARNING OF THE HATE THAT WILL COME FROM THIS ANTI-CHRISTIAN GOVERNMENT AND SOCIETY:
“…you will be HATED BY ALL for My name’s sake.” (v. 22)
  • THE REWARD FOR TRUE CHRISTIANS WHO ENDURE TO THE END:
“…But he who endures to the end will be saved.”, “Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known…”, “…the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.” (v.22, v.25-26, v.30-32)
  • A WARNING TO FALSE CHRISTIANS AND EVERYONE WHO WILL DENY CHRIST:
“But whoever denies Me before men, him I WILL ALSO DENY BEFORE MY FATHER who is in heaven.” (v.32)
  • A WARNING TO THE FALSE “PEACE AND UNITY” OF THIS NEW ADMINISTRATION AND HOW IT WILL TURN FAMILY MEMBERS AGAINST EACH OTHER:
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I DID NOT COME TO BRING PEACE but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.” (v. 34-36)
  • A WARNING TO FALSE CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE “FAMILY” IS PRIORITY OVER JESUS AND HIS WORDS:
“He who loves father or mother more than Me IS NOT WORTHY OF ME. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” (v. 37-39)
  • THE REWARD FOR THOSE WHO EMBRACE JESUS’ WORDS AND THOSE WHO SPEAK IT:
“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” (v. 40-42)

An apparent Christian asked me who is considered “true Christians?” My response to her was simple, “If you cannot discern between true and false, or good and evil then you can’t be a true Christian.” You do not have to be a biblical scholar to discern true from false Christians because as scripture teaches us, we can identify them by their fruit (Matt. 7:15-20).

Those who profess themselves to be Christian yet believe and support anything contrary from scripture are obviously false, but Jesus also identifies other ways a Christian can be false here in Matthew 10: A false Christian will betray other Christians; a false Christian will betray their own family members, a false Christian will place “peace and unity” before scripture truths; a false Christian will not receive those who preach His word and a false Christian will ultimately deny Him in the end.

We have witness the persecution of Christians in many countries for centuries. However, the anti-Christian government that will take place after January 20, 2021 will be the beginning of the persecution of Christians in the United States and it will only get worse. We are already seeing the silencing of Christian conservatives in the media and the internet; the cancelling of Christian politicians and prominent leaders; Christians are now being identified as evil regimes and terrorist groups and the encouragement of violence against Christians are growing daily.

Although retaliation is a human reaction to persecution, retaliation is not the direction of a true Christian as it is written: “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (Romans 12:19) Jesus proclaims here in Matthew 10 that our only duties as Christians is to ‘spread His truths‘ and ‘endure to the end‘ and knowing His vengeance will come should be enough for us to do just that. In these times, pray diligently for endurance and His swift return.

In Him,
Marc

An Obligation of Testing

Shall your brothers go to the war while you sit here?

Numbers 32:6

Family brings its obligations. The people of Reuben and the people of Gad would have been unbrotherly if they had claimed the land that had been conquered and had left the rest of the people to fight for their portions alone. We have received great benefits as a result of the efforts and sufferings of the saints in years gone by, and if we do not make some return to the Church of Christ by giving her our best energies, we are unworthy to be enrolled in her ranks. Others are bravely combating the errors of the age or excavating the dying from amid the ruins of the Fall, and if we fold our hands in idleness we put ourselves in danger. The Master of the vineyard inquires, “Why do you stand here all day doing nothing?” What is the lazy man’s excuse?

Discerning False Prophets: Seeing Their Converts

“‘Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits’” (Matthew 7:19–20).

We can spot false prophets by the kind of people they attract. Their converts will have the same kind of superficial, self-centered, unbiblical orientation as they do. Of this sort of attraction Peter says, “Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned” (2 Peter 2:2). Many folks gravitate to false teachers because those men propagate what the majority of people want to hear and believe (cf. 2 Tim. 4:3).

God has not ordained false prophets, but within His will He allows them to exist. And it is within His purpose that false factions develop. “For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you” (1 Cor. 11:19). Factions often attract followers of false teachers. And in a sense, this protects genuine saints by separating the chaff from the wheat in the church.

Ultimately, the Lord makes sure that the converts of false prophets, who do not bear good fruit, get cut down and thrown into the fire of judgment. Peter says they are “bringing swift destruction upon themselves” (2 Peter 2:1; cf. Jer. 23:30–40; John 15:2, 6). A watchful, discerning, vigilant believer, armed with the Word of truth, will be able to isolate false teachers and withdraw from them, because he or she “will know them by their fruits.”

Ask Yourself

Discussions like these often get us labeled as haughty and narrow-minded. How do you handle these kinds of accusations? Why will some people never understand your concern for the church’s purity?

Anglican Bishops Urge Church to Rethink Homosexuality

by Ken Ham on July 4, 2016

As I read a recent news item, I was reminded of Jesus’ words, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?” (Matthew 5:13). Increasingly the church in the Western world is losing its saltiness. Instead of influencing the culture, we are being so influenced by the culture that we are no longer effective salt in this world. This is growing increasingly clear when it comes to beliefs regarding marriage and gender.

God’s Word clearly teaches that homosexual practice is a sin (Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). For generations the church has recognized this and has never felt the need to reinterpret the clear teaching of Scripture. But now that our culture has almost wholeheartedly embraced and celebrated this behavior, suddenly many Christian leaders have decided that God’s Word needs a supposedly more enlightened update. It isn’t because God’s Word has changed—it’s because many Christians’ attitudes toward God’s Word have changed and because the culture has so infiltrated the church’s thinking that God’s Word is no longer the ultimate authority.

Refuting Certain Christian Responses

sympathyrefute2

In regards to the recent horrific mass shooting in Orlando, Florida we wanted to share our condolences to the victims and their families, no one should have to go through this type of tragic loss.

Having said that, we also felt the need to refute some of these so-called Christian responses popping up all over the internet.

First off I do not condone any lifestyle that goes against God’s Word, if I did I couldn’t consider myself a Christian. However, these Pastor’s preaching needed to be swiftly corrected, for it is people like this who preach hate and false doctrine that bring an offense against “true” Christians and the Word of God.

Should Animals Have Equal Rights as Humans?

by Ken Ham and Avery Foley

It’s not uncommon to see animals exalted and valued far above humans. Animal rights groups, such as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), vehemently fight against the use of animals for anything, saying things such as, “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way”1 and “When it comes to pain, love, joy, loneliness, and fear, a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. Each one values his or her life and fights the knife.”2 What should a Christian’s response be to these arguments?

If Humans Are Just Animals Then . . .

Well, it’s important to first note the inconsistency of most animal rights groups. These groups claim to be against animal abuse, but are these same people against the abuse of millions of children who are brutally murdered in their mother’s wombs through abortion?

Joel Osteen – Fake It Until You Make It?

osteenfake

Back in 2013 Joel Osteen had a post on his Facebook page that stated how Christians ought to fake their blessings and fake their victory saying: “You’ve got to fake it until you make it!” Over 4 million people from around the world “liked” it.

We see this type of absurd teachings also coming from his book titled: I Declare: 31 Promises to Speak Over Your Life Here he makes a completely wrong and out-of-context reference to Romans 5:17 saying: “We are to reign in life as kings” and rambles on about how God sees us as kings and queens; we have His royal blood flowing through our veins and as long we feel our pulse and our hearts beating we’ll still have time to reign as kings and queens in this lifetime. If that wasn’t bizarre enough, he then ends his ranting with:

What is Good and What is Evil?

goodandevil

The bible is very clear that we are not to judge anyone “outside” of the church, that it is God who will judge them (1 Cor. 5:12-13). This makes complete sense for how can we judge someone against scripture if they have never known it?

That said, to not judge non-believers does not mean we shouldn’t identify their sin or sin in general. This is why Romans 12:2, 9 says:  “Do not be conformed to this world….  Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good  Without identifying the world’s sin how are we not to be conformed to it? Furthermore how are we to hate evil if we don’t know what it is? That is why the writer of Hebrews wrote we ought to “mature” in God’s Word: “solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil” (Heb. 5:12-14)

In today’s modern world we are seeing millions of people support evil, falsehood, immoral and un-Christian behavior yet are somehow convinced it is good.  One area where this is evident is in the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community. It seems majority of the world are seeing this unnatural behavior as “good” and the laws that are trying to prevent it as “evil.” As Steven Van Zandt, guitar player for famous rocker Bruce Springsteen said in an interview: “…it is an evil virus” (source).

Georgia Compromised.

georgiacompromised

Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal, says he will veto ‘Anti-Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender’ bill which includes language that protects Christians from performing marriage rites that violate their religious beliefs.

Although he claims his conviction to veto this bill is due to the “loving, kind and generous” nature of the people of Georgia. It seems the truth behind his motivation are coming from the threats of corporate giants to remove their businesses from the state taking billions of dollars with them if he signs this bill (source).

Sadly this man who professes that he and his family has been Christians their entire lives (source) has just compromised God’s Word for the love of money and completely ignored His truths.

Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have.” (Heb. 13:1-5)

Tyler Perry’s “The Passion?”

160308105954-02-jesus-on-screen-exlarge-169

Tyler Perry will be airing his one-of-a-kind musical come Easter Sunday. Sadly this musical proves why Christians today are more interested in what entertains them, what draws a crowd and how emotions play a huge roll when it comes to their religion. It has nothing to do with God’s word, nothing to do with Christ’s true character and nothing to do with saving people from their sins.

According to Perry he states: “It’s for believers and also nonbelievers. It’s for all faiths and all backgrounds. This story doesn’t just belong to one group, it belongs to humanity. Love, forgiveness and compassion, those are things that are universal to us all.” (source) All faiths? This story belongs to Humanity? Universal to us all? That sounds very much like Universalism, a stark contrast to what God’s word truly teaches.
