My People Love It So!

An APPALLING and HORRIBLE thing Has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy FALSELY, And the priests rule on their OWN AUTHORITY; And MY PEOPLE LOVE IT SO!” (Jeremiah 5:30,31)

No one in their right mind would truly admit to loving false doctrine, false teachings, and false leaders. But you’d be surprised on the things we do that prove what Jeremiah is saying here is true—WE DO LOVE FALSEHOOD. Ask yourself these questions to determine whether you stand “against” false teachings or “support” it.

When someone informs you of the contrary and false teachings in your church, or in the things you reference and support do you…

1) Ignore it, refuse to listen to it, and mark them as judgmental and offensive that causes division? Or
2) Search the scriptures yourself to see if what that person is saying is correct (see: Acts 17:11)?

Are you the type that…

1) Openly embrace all types of doctrines and beliefs, and only devote yourself to the passages you like and the messages your pastor preaches? or
2) Are you apprehensive regarding anything other than God’s Word, and TEST and DISCERN whatever doctrine blows your way (see: 1 Thessalonians. 5:21, 2 Tim. 3:16, 1 Timothy 4:16)?

In regards to church, is…

1) Entertainment, uplifting positive messages, and whether you are “comfortable” or not important in church? Or
2) Is your primary reason for being in church to LEARN the Word of God so you can equip yourself to Give an Answer, and have the knowledge and wisdom to Discern, Rebuke, Correct, and live Righteously (see: Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Luke 5:1, Matt 7:24, Matt. 13:14-17, 1 Peter 3:15)?

If you answered “Yes” to number 1 throughout all these questions, then unfortunately there is no easier way to say this…You Love Falsehood.

The primary reasons much of us support falsehood is due to the superficial peace and love these false leaders promise, the leniency they have towards sin, the low emphasis on God’s warnings and discernment, and the joyful entertainment they feed the congregation. Amazingly, the bible speaks clearly of these exact things:

They have healed the brokenness of My people SUPERFICIALLY, Saying, ‘PEACE, PEACE,’ But there is no peace. Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; They did not even know how to blush. “ (Jer.6:14,15, 8:11,12)

Their mouths speak of LOVE, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings LOVE SONGS with a beautiful voice and PLAYS an INSTRUMENT WELL, for they hear your words BUT DO NOT PUT THEM INTO PRACTICE.” (Ezekial 33:31-33)

To whom can I speak and GIVE WARNING? Who will LISTEN TO ME? Their EARS ARE CLOSED so they CANNOT HEAR. The word of the Lord is OFFENSIVE to them; they find no PLEASURE IN IT. “ (Jer.6:10)

In VAIN the refining goes on, But the WICKED ARE NOT SEPARATED.” (Jer. 6:29)

Thousands upon thousands flock to this EASY path of Christianity, for on this road there is no need to worry about sin you can live however you like; there is no need to worry about false teachings you believe whatever you like; and there is no need to worry about sound biblical doctrine you keep what you like and throw-away the rest.

But as Dr. R.J.K. Law once stated:

“In times of danger and threatened disasters there are always those who claim to have extraordinary revelations. The devil stirs them up to fill men with false hopes in order to keep them in sin and false security. Then, when God’s judgments come, they are taken by surprise. So whoever claims to have extraordinary revelations, encouraging men to feel safe while living a sinful life, does the work of the devil, for whatever encourages men to feel secure in their sins is from the devil.” (Jer. 5:30, 31; 23:9-33). (Dr. R.J.K. Law, Apostasy from the gospel, Communion with God and the Glory of Christ)

It is impossible to say you LOVE JESUS and support FALSE TEACHERS, for how can you say you have a genuine love for Christ yet love the devil? Either you hate one and love the other, or be devoted to the one and despise the other.

Think About It.
